Are you a Sprinter or Long Distance Runner?

If you are new to running and ready to take challenge to enjoy the benefits of running the first thing is to decide is, are you a sprinter or long distance runner. It is always very hard to start without knowing what you have to do. I have seen many of them hitting the track or pavement without knowing the difference between two as they lack professional advice leading them to injury. This itself was the case of my daughter, she use to see me practicing early morning running kilometers, which motivated her to develop the habit of running.  After some of prior days of her coaching, it was clear that she is a sprinter, as running long distance use to create stress on her face and body.

Basically Sprinters and long distance runners have one thing in common they run, they perform with their legs but the truth is that both require totally different skills and training. Sprinters use their power and technique for short distance run to complete in seconds or minutes while distance runner aims in conserving energy , maintain stamina and runs with steady pace to complete the race with long time duration.

Before trying your first marathon, get assured that you are ready for the task with proper enough training and technique and mental skills.
