Does running on treadmill gives same benefits as of running on ground.
From last few years joining the gym and running on treadmills has gain
more popularity. There may be different reasons for it and may depend upon
personal choices and preferences.
A runner who loves to lace up,
run in nature with nature inhaling fresh air, might be on track or on road, running
in mild sunny rays or in cool weather may feel the idea of running on treadmill,
somewhat different and unprofitable and unpreferable. Running outside in open
environment has its own benefits, as it makes your muscle and joints stronger, burns
more calories, improves your cardio vascular activity, boost your mood and mental
ability, makes you more focused, trained you to run on different ground profile
and much more…..
Using treadmill is more convenient, easy, you can run with set speed,
monitor your heart rate and even set the angle of belt for running. Here there
is less chance of getting injured, not have to impact on hard surface, no need
to run in heat or rain or cool breeze, no disturbance of traffic.
In actual there is nothing such as wrong or right when it comes to
running on treadmill or outside. It depends upon personal goal and physical
fitness. If you love nature, training for races to compete, or preparing for
long distance running then running outside is a great choice. If you just
looking for exercise and cardio workouts, having some type of limitations then
treadmill running may be preferable.
