How to take care of foot
Every athlete on track and
field is preparing himself for his goal for which he is taking at most efforts.
During his journey an athlete always look for his strength improvement, pace,
performance and diet, but sometimes forget to take proper care of his feet. During
the run while chasing the distance runner puts repetitive huge amount of stress
several times of body weight on their feet which makes very essential to take
care of feet.
Runners always enjoy their performance
and to continue the joy of running taking right action immediately to foot care
can reduce or minimize the pain and future complications due to injury. As a
runner taking proper foot care is need of the hour, and neglecting towards it
may lead to injuries which may take you to higher amount of risk and further
may stop you to run.
Following some preventive
measures like investing in good shoes- sprinting spikes, properly lacing up, use
of quality socks, early treating blisters, fungal infection, avoiding use of
wet shoes, applying moisturizing cream to feet, walking barefoot to strengthen
your foot, improving ground contact time, massaging your foot, checking shoes
damage if any, replacing shoes after every 6 to 7 months depending upon the run
and most importantly taking immediate help of professionals to ensure damage
control can help a runner for continuing to gain the numerous health benefits
from running.
