Enjoying rain and run
Idea of
running in rain, may feel challenging and daunting, but it’s very much similar
to other days, I will say more enjoyable than other days as you can feel and
enjoy cool showers running through your body making your run more joyful and
less stressful. It’s perfectly normal and safe to run in rain with appropriate
apparel and footwear. Running during extreme downpour or running without proper
precautions can drop your body temperature and may negatively affect your
performance.
Simple tips before and after running in rain:
1. Choose
good water proof jacket with cap having brim.
2. Wear
water resistant shoes with good grip. (Keep extra pairs of socks)
3. Use reflectors,
torch, it will spot you and keep safe.
4.
Protect your devices.
5.
Avoid being fast, take small strides.
6.
Choose good surface to run to avoid injury.
7. Stay
hydrated.
8. After run, change your apparels
immediately.
9. Take
warm bath if required to relax your body.
10.
Apply cream if required to avoid blisters and fungal infections.
Stay safe and enjoy the experience of run
in rain.
