It hurts, pains while running: Shall I continue running?
Pushing yourself hard through pain, thinking nothing will go wrong, then you are making long lasting damage which may result in serious complications in future and may stop you from running.
Should I Run when its paining
Many
runners (mostly beginners) neglect the pain and fail to listen to body injuring
themselves more as they are not aware when to stop. So the million dollar
question is should I run when it hurts or paining.
Precaution
is always better than cure. Proper training and precautions plays a vital role
to notice the signs, symptoms, and helps you to take a call when to stop, if
you are in pain.
Runners
experience pain (mostly shin pain, ankle pain, hamstring pain or foot pain)
after intense workouts as during running entire body weight is impacting on the
lower portion, but performing cooling down exercises and taking proper rest
helps to minimize the pain. But if the pain continues or feels like hurting, or
feel any sort of discomfort even after adding rest days then seeking a medical
attention is preferable. It means you will require some more days to recover
and repair and heal your body.
Cramps,
aches, pain, discomfort is a part of runners journey but listening to your
body, keeping smart approach, performing strength workouts, giving enough time
to recover and repair will help to return and enjoy your running.
Always
keep in mind Precaution is better than cure.
